Where do I check in for my Hilton Head Island vacation?
Guests must report directly to (or contact) the Hilton Head Guest Services Welcome Center to receive the necessary hotel voucher PRIOR TO HOTEL CHECK-IN. Guests should check in at our Welcome Center located at 890 William Hilton Parkway, Suite 17, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina 29928. In some cases, guests may report directly to the destination resort-hotel. Professionally staffed Welcome Centers in each of our destinations ensure a wonderful vacation experience. The Welcome Center staff will offer area tips, suggest restaurants, provide hotel vouchers and schedule a tour of the host property.

From Interstate 95, take South Carolina Exit 8 onto Highway 278 heading east towards Hilton Head Island. Proceed on Highway 278 East for approximately 25 miles to reach the only bridge onto the Island. Once you reach the Island, stay on Highway 278 Business (right lane). Do not take the Toll Bridge (left lane). Continue approximately 9 miles on Highway 278 to the Palmetto Dunes and Shelter Cove intersection. The Fresh Market Shoppes is 1 mile on the right past this intersection. The Welcome Center is located at the opposite end from the Fresh Market Grocery Store.
Where will I be staying?
Hotels are conveniently located near the popular attractions and beach access. Vacation packages typically include standard hotel accommodations, one room with two double beds for up to 4 travelers. Should you need additional rooms, please contact our Reservations Department for rates and availability. Due to availability, hotels are assigned first-come-first-serve unless otherwise arranged prior to arrival.
I bought a package and need to set my actual travel dates.
Our staff would be happy to set your travel dates. Please call our Customer Service Office at 800-363-5798. Simply reference your name, telephone number, and preferred dates. We will take care of the rest! Be sure to let our staff know of any special requests to help make your vacation more enjoyable.
How can I assure a safe and protected transaction?
You can help assure an accurate and safe process by taking the following steps. Whenever possible, purchase travel services only from businesses you know to be genuine and that have a good reputation. Be sure to take your time and understand the details. Always get it in writing. If the offer comes over the phone or by email, ask them to send you a full description of the package and all terms and conditions. Do not be afraid to question inconsistent details, and make sure you know all date restrictions on any travel package. If in doubt, pay by credit card. Credit card companies offer a customer protection assurance, so in the event of an unauthorized charge, feel secure knowing that your charge account is protected.
I would like to change my dates or cancel my package.
For changing dates, we ask that you provide at least a 72-hour notice to accommodate a successful change. No cancellations during holiday periods. Please contact our office immediately at 800-363-5798. For cancellations, you may extend and/or transfer your vacation package to another qualified guest. We do not grant refunds on cancellations for promotional packages.
I have questions regarding the qualifications required for this package.
By targeting our offers to qualified families, we are able to provide substantial discounts to tempt your interest. You must be a permanent resident of the United States or Canada. A minimum combined annual income of $40,000 is required. If married, both spouses must attend a ninety-minute sales presentation together. Beaufort County residents are ineligible for this promotion. No multiple couples may travel together on this promotion unless both parties are paying standard room rates. If you are unable to meet the qualifications, or they changed from the time you bought your package, please contact our office immediately. Guests who travel anyway, and are not qualified, will be responsible for the cost of their vacation package.
What are the restricted travel dates?
Provided you book at least 90-days in advance we can generally accommodate your requests, however due to the seasonal nature of our business, summer time and holiday periods could reach capacity.
What time is check-in, and may I check-in early?
While your accommodations are typically ready by 4pm, check-in at the Welcome Center begins as early as 10:00am each day. Photo identification of the package holder and a major credit card are required to check-in. In Hilton Head, it is not uncommon for guests to check-in early in the day through the Welcome Center. Guests can then enjoy Hilton Head Island a little more between the check-in and time of the hotel availability. There are restaurants, attractions, and the beach to visit.
Where can I use my dining and activities gift certificates?

Dining and Activities Gift Certificates issued through Hilton Head Guest Services can be used at a variety of Island merchants. They are issued in increments of $5 and $10 amounts as part of the applicable gift package for participating in the vacation promotions with Hilton Head Guest Services. A complete listing of the participating merchants is available to download above. The guest does not receive cash back, and the certificates do not cover tips. Gift Certificates are redeemable for face value and are not coupons.
When will I be scheduled to take the preview tour?
In most cases, the Welcome Center will schedule a personalized presentation and tour of the host resort for you and your spouse upon arrival to the Welcome Center. Tours are generally scheduled the day after you arrive.
How can we offer this vacation at such a low price?
As a promotional package, the host resort has elected to spend their advertising on YOU rather than other traditional advertising mediums. The cost of accommodations and activities has become very expensive over the years, but through our local partnerships, our company has negotiated deep discounted vacations for our guests. It's our treat, and there is no cost or obligation to purchase. If you DO like the resort and products offered, you will do business, or at least go home and tell your friends about it.
What if I am arriving late?
Arriving late is not a problem as long as you contact the Welcome Center in advance. If you will be arriving after closing time (6pm), just call the Welcome Center on the day of your arrival at the number provided on your itinerary to arrange pickup of your hotel vouchers and any necessary instructions. To avoid the rush, feel free to call ahead within 72 hours to inquire about Express Check-in.
Do you accommodate pets?
As a general rule we do not have accommodations for pets; however, in some cases we are able to accommodate them with plenty of advanced notice. A pet deposit and daily fees are paid directly to the hotel upon check-in. Pet rooms are based upon availability only and must be reserved no less than one week prior to arrival. Are there taxes and fees?
All guests staying in Hilton Head Island hotels are responsible for applicable 11% State/Local/Hospitality Tax and the Hotel's daily Resort Fee. Taxes/Fees are due to the hotel upon check-out.
I've called the hotel, and they do not have my reservation.
Hilton Head Guest Services reserves special room blocks with our partner hotels which remain unassigned until you arrive. All reservations (and guest names) are listed with Hilton Head Guest Services until our guests have arrived. Upon check-in with our Welcome Center, you will receive your hotel voucher, directions, and any special instructions for your stay.
Do I need a car while on the Island?
Yes. Although the Island is quaint, the roadways still stretch 12 miles by 4 miles. We would recommend that you have (or rent) personal transportation for a trip to Hilton Head. You will be able to take better advantage of our seasonal events, restaurants, and activities which span across our beautiful Island. In addition, you will be required to visit the preview center and the Welcome Center for check-in. Approximate taxi fare from one side of the Island to the other is around $15 one-way.
How do I extend my stay in Hilton Head Island?
If you are planning a trip here and are 1 week or more away from visiting, please call the Customer Service Department directly at 800-363-5798. If you are 1 week or LESS from arrival, please call the Welcome Center to ask about availability and special rates outside of your package. If you check-in and find yourself wanting to stay a little longer, no worries. Give our Welcome Center a call at 800-621-1518 for special last-minute rates.
Do you accommodate handicap or special needs persons?
Please provide advanced notice so that specific arrangements will be made to ensure your stay is comfortable. Call the Welcome Center and speak with an Associate to arrange first floor accommodations, handicap accessible rooms, or other necessities for your stay.
